#gifts - #Need gift ideas for boyfriend [20] who treats me all the time and I want to return the favour

My boyfriend is staying with me for a week and I've got two days to prepare a few surprises for him. I'm planning a 3 course candlelit dinner and wine whilst we watch the new episode of Game of Thrones, but I wanted to get him another few surprises. I will probably be getting him a few bottles of his favourite cider as my local store has only just started stocking it and he rarely ever gets to have it. But I don't know what else to get him because he treats me all the time when we're together and I want to do something really special for him. He's been really into nostalgia lately, so I was thinking of getting him some PS2/Xbox games he played as a kid but I don't know what he used to play (he's got a brother I could ask but I'm way too shy approaching him). He's really into PC gaming, Dungeons & Dragons (I've already bought him the latest edition of the player's handbook and a set of dice), he's really into media (creating it and watching it), he loves cool gadget-y things (anything from shutupandtakemymoney and other sites like that), and he's really super into classic rock music and Tarantino movies.I really want to spoil him just as much as he spoils me, I'm just no good at being spontaneous and surprising! via /r/Gifts http://ift.tt/2umOANY

#gifts - #Looking for gift for a friend living across the country with limited space

My best friend/former roommate moved to California for a job in May and her birthday is coming up (August). I'm going to send her something but I have a hard time coming up with good ideas. She has a PO Box, I don't really want to send her something easily perishable (like cookies or a fruit basket) since I'm unsure of how often she checks her mail/if she gets alerts for packages. She also lives in a small dorm style apartment and from helping her pack to move I know she's downsized a lot, so I don't want to add something else for when she needs to move again (she's in a seasonal position so it's likely she'll be moving again at the end of the year). She likes hiking, camping, fly fishing, horses/horseback riding, the Ohio State Buckeyes, baking, beer, and travel.I was hoping to find her like a specific fly tying kit (but I'm not knowledgeable in fly fishing so that's been a bit of trouble). I'm also thinking about maybe making a cross-stitch fly as a small wall decoration (and she can always fold the fabric up later for easy packing) or knitting a sweater for her/our cat in the Buckeye colors. There's also a coffee place in town that she liked and I believe they sell their coffee/gift baskets so that's an option as well. Any one have any ideas/suggestions? via /r/Gifts http://ift.tt/2uv6FKa
