Our anniversary is coming up in October and I’m completely stumped, previous presents I got him were a handmade custom scarf just like a discontinued one he had been wanting forever, and he really like that. I got him an iPod and headphones for his birthday and I got him a jar of Nutella and made him a Nutella cheesecake. He said his favourite part was the card. He doesn’t like to have much stuff, doesn’t really like any brands, isn’t a gamer, wouldn’t like merch of any kind. Doesn’t like concerts. He doesn’t drink. He likes going to the gym, animation and food. But food is a hard one because he’s often on a strict diet. I was going to get him this book on animation that he mentioned he wanted but I just watched him open a package he got in the mail and it was the book lol. I know he likes the ‘Uniqlo’ clothing site but I can’t seem to find a gift card for the site. The only things I know he wants are a specific vintage t-shirt that I can’t find anywhere, and a drawing tablet that is unfortunately out of my budget. Budget is pretty flexible, it could be something homemade or up to $100-$200 ish if it’s a really good idea!Only ideas I really have are making him a scrapbook and making him dinner/a cake (I’m a baker). Very boring I know. He is planning something as a surprise for our anniversary so it’s going to be really hard to plan to do anything for that day because I have no idea what his plan is! Hi guys!So the title is a bit off putting for sure, so I'll give you a little TL;DR. Girlfriend and I are splitting up on amicable terms as I have just been given an amazing opportunity which requires me to live out of the country for at least 4 years. We made the mutual decision as much as we both really like each other, realistically we couldn't keep it going.I'd like to give her a gift before I go, no grandstanding or overly poetic declaration of love, but something she can look at or use from time to time and go "That was a good thing" (I already have received a really nice gift from her in the past I will use).She's a medical professional, she loves reading and writing but hasn't properly written anything for a while now - I'd like to get her something to do with writing. Not neccesarily something she'll write WITH or ON.
