I just finished paying off about $60,000 in student loans 3 years after graduating! I was lucky enough to be able to pay them very aggressively (paying $2000 almost every month) and my parents helped me out a lot by contributing $300 a month. I want to get them a really great gift to thank them (especially now that I have extra income). Any ideas? I am thinking something in the 100-300 dollar range? Was considering a weekend trip to the beach or a deep house cleaning service? Having a room in their house painted? Are services a good gift or would something tangible be better? Like a Roomba? Restaurant gift card? They are not materialistic people, and I know that if I asked them if they wanted something they would tell me not to spend my money on them. But I really want to thank them. All ideas welcome :) via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/c9j9ng/thank_you_gift_ideas_for_parents_who_helped_pay/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #I'm in need of a gift for one of my close friends
we currently live in different countries but we'll be meeting again soon. she's going through some things right now, and i really want to cheer her up. her birthday also went by, so I don't mind buying multiple gifts.she is really artistic but she doesn't think so (i personally think her art is great). it would be great if the suggestions are on the cheaper side (I'm a university student, as is she). I've asked her for her favourite pop culture figures or fictional characters, but she doesn't seem to have any.P.S. I'm not equipped to purchase clothes or makeup or shoes, or anything that requires style since i have absolutely no taste. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/c9osyh/im_in_need_of_a_gift_for_one_of_my_close_friends/?utm_source=ifttt

I want to get my bf's mom something nice and less than $30 for her birthday. She is a black woman who has two jobs. She used to have three. She is an amazingly hard worker. She sells Avon and works at a call center now. She has a very colorful and classy style. Because she works for avon no bath or beauty stuff needed. She likes the news and food network. She is an empty nester. She likes to cook but has a pretty stocked kitchen appliances. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/c9gv26/boyfriends_mom/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Suggestions for my birthday
Hi guys, I'm not sure whether or not this is the correct subreddit for this sort of request (if not, feel free to direct me for the right one) but here we go.My birthday is coming up and my girlfriend and I are struggling to come up with a good idea on what to do. I enjoy adventurous stuff, as well as superhero movies and using my brain and physical prowess. Essentially, I would most enjoy an activity in which I would have to overcome physical (such as fighting/climbing/parkouring) as well as mental obstacles (puzzles etc.). As you can tell, something that could come straight out of some video game level, lol. Also, since it would be with my girlfriend obviously also something that can be done with another person. Does anyone know anything like that?On a side note, before any of you mention something along the lines of strong viking or some parkour run like that; while that would go in the right direction, we would prefer if it would be something that is less competitive and maybe involves more puzzle-solving and less of other people. Thanks in advance for your help.Kind regards via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/c9g2vu/suggestions_for_my_birthday/?utm_source=ifttt
