#gifts - #I meet my girlfriend's rich Chinese parents next month, and I need to buy them gifts... what on earth do I get them?
Hello, relatively poor American guy here going to Beijing next month to meet my girlfriend's family. Apparently it is custom to bring gifts, but they are in a totally different wealth bracket than I'm used to... The father recently bought the mother a $4000 watch for example.. and I have no clue what to get them.I could probably spend $100-$200 each, but over $150 is uncomfortable, because I have to also get gifts for her cousins that I'll be staying with. Any suggestions for relatively cheap gifts that could make a good impression, and can survive a day of plane travel would be super helpful. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/7xrcy7/i_meet_my_girlfriends_rich_chinese_parents_next/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Is baking cupcakes for a girl too much?
Hey, so I'm [15M] and I wonder if I should bake some cupcakes as a gift to [16F]. She's been my crush for a year now but she did reject me about half a year ago. We're not really more than friendly right now but I talk with her and hang out sometimes with her and 2 other girls I get along well with. The thing is for the 2 other girls I both got them gifts on their birthdays, one some candy and for the other I baked some cake, while for [16F] I didn't get anything for her birthday 1.5 months ago since we didn't meet up then and it wasn't during school. The other 2 girls pointed it out recently when I was with them at [16F]'s house and I feel like even if it's late, I should still get her a birthday gift. Are cupcakes too much however? via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/7xpp26/is_baking_cupcakes_for_a_girl_too_much/?utm_source=ifttt
