#gifts - #My boyfriend wants to split gift costs equally
So I told me boyfriend I wanted this $150 necklace from Tiffany’s and he agreed, but only if I get get him a gift that costs the same price or atleast close to it. I think that’s lame because I wanted him to splurge a little on me, and now he’s trying to make sure I get him something that costs the same. Is he being unreasonable? #gifts - #Christmas gift for not quite girlfriend
Okay so I've been seeing this girl for a few weeks and I'm not sure about Christmas coming up. Do I get her a gift? We've never talked labels for our relationship but it seems like we're heading in that direction. I think I should but then what should I get that shows I care but doesn't come off to strong? Any ideas? via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/e92c02/christmas_gift_for_not_quite_girlfriend/?utm_source=ifttt
#gifts - #Picked the boss in the Pollyanna exchange
Hey all I don’t know much about the boss since I’ve just started about 3 months ago but we all put 3 facts about ourselves. she likes Star Wars, Prince, loves the color pink. she’s a hard worker and deserves a good gift so I’m hoping not to fail her on this.. she really loves making warm and hearty type foods for our potlucks we’ve had two thus far and she’s made chili and soup and she says she does it to keep the staff happy and full and nice and warm inside which I think is a nice thought. We work in an animal hospital though she’s not involved in the animal part just business. Any ideas would be great via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/e91ndl/picked_the_boss_in_the_pollyanna_exchange/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Gift for my father. He's a police officer who I don't know all that well...
My dad is some kind of prison guard (I think? He's never explicitly told me) and is on his way to being a street cop. There's still a chance he won't make it to be one, so I'm trying to steer away from gimmicky cop gifts. He's got a girlfriend who has lots of kids, and they're considering having one of their own, so I considered some kind of family experience. I can't think of anything I can afford that they would all like. He likes jokes, even if it's a little dark. And he like technology (he's got some kind of rip off apple watch. It texts and stuff but it's round? Idk).I considered a $40 wire crab trap, because he said he wanted a few to just leave, but I'm worried it'll be kind of lame. I also considered a portable stripper pole, because he'd get a kick, but it's far too expensive for a joke. I also considered a kayak, but it's too expensive (and besides, I'd need maybe three so that whole little chunk of family could actually use it.)If he's not working, he's with his girlfriend. I'd adore any advice. I'm really struggling here. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/e90qmx/gift_for_my_father_hes_a_police_officer_who_i/?utm_source=ifttt

Hello,I've been trying to think of a good Christmas gift that is small enough that someone who is moving can take it with them in a suitcase. Something nice or useful. She's flying accross the ocean for work, so won't have a lot of space, but I would like to get her something nice. #gifts - #Need gift ideas for my sister's boyfriend
I'm just about wrapped up with my Christmas shopping, but stumped trying to come up with a gift for my sister's boyfriend. He's in his mid-30's and is a travelling musician (guitar player for various country artists). Apart from music, his interests include whiskey and camping/outdoors (mostly hiking - he doesn't have a lot of extra time for camping due to work). He also sometimes goes rock climbing with my sister.Last year, I got him a bottle of whiskey local to my city (we live in different parts of the country) but I'm trying to think of something a bit different this year. #gifts - #Unique Stocking Stuffer - Cookie Dough Chocolates - Use code "2019red" at checkout for $5 off - Free shipping
https://chocolates.cookie-dough-creamery.com/collections/featured/products/18-count-long-box-of-cookie-dough-chocoaltesWe are a mom & pop ice cream shop called Cookie Dough Creamery in historic Worthington Ohio. We've been open 4 years and have 20K+ likes on Facebook with 4.8 star reviews. We apologize if self-promotion is not allowed on this subforum, but we read through the subforum's rules and did not see it as being against the rules. If it is, again we apologize. Our ice cream shop is famous for our numerous flavors of edible cookie dough that we serve on our sundae bar, hence the name of our ice cream shop. This year we decided to use our most popular edible cookie dough flavors as a ganache inside gourmet milk chocolate to product Cookie Dough Chocolates. This is not your typical grocery store chocolate. This is a high quality gourmet chocolate that requires very specific tempering procedures to get the right crystal formation. The high quality chocolate we use is expensive to source, hence why we have a high price on the product. We launched our new Cookie Dough Chocolates on Nov 4th at the 2019 Columbus Dessert Festival. 1000 people bought tickets to attend the festival and each had one vote for their favorite dessert out of 25 vendors at the event. Our new Cookie Dough Chocolates earned 2nd place. People love them, and you and the person you give them to will not be disappointed. The discount code in the title was made specifically for Reddit readers (hence the "red" in the code) as a thank you for the Reddit community supporting our new product launch, as we are a very small fish in a great big sea of the holiday gift market. Please share with anyone you know looking for a unique gift this season. Those you share it with can use the code as well.We ship to most of the US, but unfortunately if you are in southern states, our website will not accept an order to be shipped there because of the risk of the package experiencing temperatures above 70 degrees before you receive it. Gourmet chocolate easily melts when above 70 degrees and the quality suffers. Thus we have decided to not ship to southern states. In the future we may offer shipping to them by using cold packs and 24 hour shipping, but that would come at a much higher cost. The online store in the link is ours and is hosted on the Shopify platform.https://chocolates.cookie-dough-creamery.com/collections/featured/products/18-count-long-box-of-cookie-dough-chocoaltes via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/e8qt05/unique_stocking_stuffer_cookie_dough_chocolates/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Family Christmas gifts on a budget
I don't hate Christmas, but gift giving stresses me out. I'm a divorced dad with 2 small kids. They get the lion's share of my limited gift giving budget, but I struggle with the rest of my family. We're not big gift givers and nobody expects fancy presents, but I don't feel like I'm very good at this part of the holiday season. My goal is to always find things that are unique and thoughtful, but that also don't break the bank (which is probably what many of us are after).I did themed gift baskets for my sisters and my mom and dad last year. For my sisters I went with a movie night theme: movie theater gift card, DVD of a movie that felt unique to them, movie candy, popcorn and so on to fill everything out. I probably spent $100 per basket. They're each married and have 2 kids. I felt like it was well received. The gift card (which was for $50) was the main gift and then everything else was just to fill out the experience. For my mom and dad I spent $100 on a local restaurant gift card and then put in a basket with a bottle of wine (for my dad) and some nice hot tea (for my mom).I actually felt I did a better job last year than I had in prior years where I would wait too long and then just try and jumble too much together. I would end up spending too much and it always felt disorganized.Anyway, I'm thinking about going the same route this year, but with a different themes. Some I've kicked around have been family game night or a local sports team theme.Any ideas or thoughts? Thanks. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/e8qsm5/family_christmas_gifts_on_a_budget/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Graduation gift decision for boyfriend
Help please! Background: I have been with my boyfriend for over ten years, since we were in high school. Throughout this time (after high school) he has been studying and got his bachelor's and master's before studying to become a doctor. He finally finished his degree this month.I have been planning for years to buy something special to mark this huge achievement and always planned on buying him a first edition of his favourite book. (I have never spoken to him or hinted about this so he has no clue, and also that means that I really don't know whether he will appreciate or treasure the sentiment..)Speaking to friends recently, they have all said whilst it is very sentimental, he might not appreciate it the way I would hope and suggest maybe it's better to buy him something else.My friend has suggested I buy him a nice bag/briefcase, a leather one of his favourite designer/brand. I have found a bag and also a book and they are roughly the same price (within $200 of one another). My other options which I had but am not too keen on: - overseas holiday next year - a new iPhone (this won't last, and in a couple years he will have gotten rid of it) - a vintage omega watch (It's bad luck in our culture to give watches so my mum put me off this)Any perspectives would be appreciated. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/e8o5ls/graduation_gift_decision_for_boyfriend/?utm_source=ifttt
