I have this coworker that cross stitches as a hobby. She recently offered to make me a cross stitch for my upcoming baby shower. She sent me some samples of what she could do, and then added at the end “we can discuss money later”I’m touched she wants to make this, however, cross stitch isn’t my style and she’s asking me to pay for it.How do I politely decline the offer? I don’t want to ruin our working relationship. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/7rlb1m/how_to_decline_a_gift_without_seeming_rude/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #How to decline a gift without seeming rude...
#gifts - #Is it appropriate to ask the host of the housewarming party what kind of things they like so you can get them the right gift?
We’re friends, but I’ve never seen the house and I have no idea what kind of gift would work! Don’t know favorite smells, colors or nothing, and even if I did I wouldn’t know if they’d like the particular thing I’d get. Can I just ask them what the house is like and what kind of things they like ornamentally? via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/7rj7ey/is_it_appropriate_to_ask_the_host_of_the/?utm_source=ifttt
