He does drink beer, but I don’t think with the pain killers, that I want to gift beer etc.What I have suggested and she shot down: “his hands aren’t broken”^ okay so this is too big and ridiculous of a gesture.Other thoughts that I don’t want to insult/not sure if they’ll get any use:Large print cross word puzzles (is it rude to get large print? Because I know he needs cheaters, but I don’t want the implication of needing cheaters, and age to be mean).Bed side caddy for remotes, etc.A funny knee replacement shirt? I saw a lot online. I’m not sure if his size. I’d rather be pragmatic vs funny.A book.. but since he uses iPad I’m not sure of his opinion of paperback.i do not want to get him a mug, tea, or something that will just collect dust. they don’t have any kids, so they have everything they really want, or need. But she’s my favorite coworker, and she’s so in love with him. So I just want to make a nice gesture of a $50 gift accompanied with a casserole. Some people might not care about this but I thought the title wasn’t very descriptive about why I’m getting him a gift. So this year I’m graduating from 9th grade as it is here and this teacher has really gotten me into physics to the point where I’m kinda considering it as a job option. And this is his last year before he retires as well so on graduation day I’m planning to give him this gift.So for the gift then, I would want something physics related and something that feels kinda valuable or substantial. Less like a toy and more like something that will last. Now my price range is kind of varied. Something around maybe the $60 range. It’s not that I don’t have the money to spend on something more expensive but I just don’t want him to feel bad about accepting something expensive. I know that I might be a but broad here but I can mention kind of what I think he’d appreciate.He doesn’t seem to be super into astronomy stuff, although I don’t think he dislikes it. I should also mention that he is a chemistry and math teacher too if that helps but since I only have him in physics, it’s seems the most appropriate but you can still combine those three.I have only one example to give at the moment sadly but I hope some can come with suggestions.The thing I’ve been kind of looking at are stirling engines that run on the heat of your hand. I’ve seen a lot of those but the one I was most intrigues about was quite expensive. I’ll link it hereBut this is only to kinda give you an idea of a physics item, it can be wildly different from this!I should also mention that I live in Sweden but as long as the shipping rates aren’t too, too high it should be fine.
