#gifts - #Looking for Lo-Fi music on cassette for a music friend who has everything, I know nothing about music.
My buddy is the ultimate hipster, loves obscure and obsolete media. But I don't even know what Lo-Fi is, it seems to be some kind of old school jazzy thing. Are cassettes even still made by anyone? If they are, what are some good lo-fi artists who release on it? via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/g9yehh/looking_for_lofi_music_on_cassette_for_a_music/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Would you rather have a cool experience or a gaming system for your birthday?
I’m not sure if you guys will be able to answer my question but I’ll explain why I’m asking. My boyfriend’s birthday is coming up in August and I’m thinking about what gifts to get him. He has specifically said he wants a 1TB PS4. But, he is also very interested in blacksmithing and metalworking and has always wanted to try it. My city has a metal museum that offers classes and I thought that would be a great experience to get for him, and it’s something he’d never get for himself. The package I want to get him is a 2-day beginner blacksmithing workshop. Last year he took me out of town to see my favorite band and I’ll cherish that experience forever, so I wanted to return the favor. For his birthday last year (our birthdays are 3 days apart) I got him a 50” 4K TV. He loves it and uses it everyday, but this year I wanted to get him an experience.Cost-wise, the PS4 and the workshop are about the same price. Due to COVID-19 I may be forced to do the PS4, but I don’t know for sure what will happen in 3 months. So my question: would you rather have a hobby/experience as a gift or something tangible? via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/g9t074/would_you_rather_have_a_cool_experience_or_a/?utm_source=ifttt
#gifts - #I've got a gifty question.
If I buy something that I think looks nice but don't know who to give it to, and then one day I find that person to give it to is on Reddit, how do I get that person's gift sent to that person without me telling that person it was from me, because I just want to be anonymous sometimes? Can it be done currently? I don't know Reddit very well. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/g9hcqm/ive_got_a_gifty_question/?utm_source=ifttt
#gifts - #Gift ideas for my quirky mom and my dad who never wants or needs anything?
Looking to get my parent's their mother and fathers day gifts online and I can't pinpoint what I should get them since they're hard to shop for. My mom is a quirky sort of person. She loves retro pop culture items, tea/coffee (my dad bought her a fancy Keurig last year), Scandavian-themed things (her mom is from Norway), things from the 1920s/30s...her interests vary every other day and she goes through phases were she loves one particular thing. For example, last year her and my dad went to Ireland (their first time vacationing outside of the USA-Canada) and she was obsessed with anything Irish or related to Ireland. My sister and I used to Irish dance for a long time, so she always had an interest, last year it was sort of her "theme". She also loves 'interesting' home decor, such as retro or vintage looking items. She also likes seeing tarot card readers and going to tea leaf readings. My dad is someone who likes everything people buy him, but his favorite gift was when my sister and brother-in-law bought him a fancy toothbrush. He tends to like practical things more than fun things. He works all the time and he and my mom are currently flipping houses. When I was little, he used to play basketball and video games (Diablo and Age of Empires) with his friends, but since he is older and works nonstop, he tends to fall asleep whenever he can. He loves rock and metal music. I always usually get him a gift card to Home Depot or Lowes since he will always use it, but I feel like gift cards aren't overly thoughtful of a gift.I also thought about getting a gift in mid-May as a "together gift/parents day combo" since their thirty year anniversary is coming up. A few years ago, they wanted to renew their vows in at a beautiful hotel in Tennessee but once my sister had her daughters, they sort of forgot about the idea and are focused on being grandparents.Any ideas? via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/g9mpc3/gift_ideas_for_my_quirky_mom_and_my_dad_who_never/?utm_source=ifttt
