As the title says, I have a lifelong friend who is getting married in June.We live about 6 hours apart but she always finds time to come spend a weekend or to sit on the phone with me. We text message each other all day every day, despite the distance we are incredibly close.I am her MOH and she has insisted she buy my dress, she doesn’t want a bachelorette party or a bridal shower. So far I haven’t done much to help plan for the wedding because of the distance.She has 2 kids and works so hard. She’s not a flashy girl, she saves her money and puts it towards what her family needs.I want to get her something she would never get for herself. But it should be practical and hopefully go to good use!Can anyone give me any suggestions on what I should get her? I need good gift ideas for my girlfriend of 3 years -- I need helping finding a good item I can buy somewhere between $300-500. I know of a couple pairs of shoes she wants but one is $700 and another is $900.. I'm trying to find a good gift a little cheaper. She is turning 27, dresses conservatively but girly, and has nice and expensive taste. I know she would prefer an actual gift rather than tickets, experience, etc. I've already bought her a lot of jewelry so that's not a good gift right now either. Also, her birthday is tomorrow.. Hubby is a drafter at an engineering firm.He loves watching movies, sports, & tv shows on the weekends. (He watches a lot of Top Gear, Grand Tour, Mythbusters, & anime.)He’s a fantastic cook & loves improvising. He also has a grill & a smoker he uses regularly.He walks at work several times a day & has lost a lot of weight. He is watching his calories so I’m hoping to avoid food gifts if possible.He reads but is all caught up with his book series: The Shannara books, the Dresden Files, & the Codex Alera.He’s not big into board games or video games. My boyfriend's birthday is in May and I'm looking for gift suggestions for him.We have been together for a couple of months now, but have known each other for a long time.He isn't a materialistic person, and what little he wants, he buys himself.He already told me he wants to spend his BD with me so I know I will cook him a nice lunch, bake him a cake, give him a massage and pretty much just make sure he enjoys the day stress free. But I still want to give him something.His hobbies include reading about history, exercising and going to concerts but he has recently graduated with a degree in history and he says he wants a break from all the history books, he already has the ticket for a festival he wants to attend this summer and he doesn't need any extra sports gear.He's also leaving to train to be a Military Officer in September so we won't be seeing each other a lot in the next 2 years. That makes me want to give/make him something that will make him think of me. But neither of us are very romantic. My friends suggested our picture in a frame, which is an absolutely lovely gift, but too cliche imo. My father in law is turning 65. The man has everything he wants and hates everything else. He’s fairly conservative and likes manly stuff.My mother in law is throwing him a party of 25-30ish people. She booked a caterer, but didn’t think she wanted a bar tender as they’re mostly wine drinkers.We want to surprise them by hiring a bar tender and serving a signature drink.
