To preface, my sister and her fiancĂ© are getting married in October and I’m on a tight budget so I thought I’d get smaller, sentimental/ funny wedding gifts. My older sister and her soon to be husband love It’s always sunny in Philadelphia. They discovered the show from borrowing my DVDs of the show ten years ago.So I thought a life size cutout of Danny Devito would be a funny and sentimental inside joke gift, impractical though it may be. They also love drinking so I sent them a $100 gift card for their local brewery. Do these gifts seem too impractical? Generally when people get married they want things that can be used day-to-day, but I decided to go the funny route. I already bought these gifts but I just want some reassurance that these weren’t terrible wedding gifts. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/in8ae8/getting_my_sister_and_her_fianc%C3%A9_a_beer_gift_card/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Help me guess?
My boyfriend told me he got my son and I the same gift. They’re being delivered today and I’m not trying to spoil the surprise; I’m just interested to see what other people come up with, given the hints he provided. It’s purple. It has a lifetime warranty. Both my almost 3 year old son and I will use it every day.If you were determined, you could kill someone with it and it would probably still be able to serve it’s intended purpose. It is not something meant to kill people with.It is metal. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/in2x4w/help_me_guess/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Birthday gift ideas for my platonic life partner?
Okay, so my platonic partner (think BFF2, I guess) always gets me the perfect gifts, and their birthday is coming up! Right now they're obsessed with the Disney Channel show The Owl House, but there's no official merch for it, so it's hard to find anything Owl House-related other than shirts on Amazon/Redbubble/etc. They've gained weight on some meds and I don't think they would be super comfortable giving their size, so clothes are out. They don't wear much jewelry either. They also love the Netflix reboot of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, but again, I'm finding a lot of clothes and jewelry, so I'm thinking about getting something related to another interest of theirs. They LOVE instruments, but they have everything from an ocarina to a mandolin to a ukelele to a recorder they carved themself, so I'm not even sure what else they would like! They love learning languages, especially Spanish (they are Latinx), and they are queer, so things that have to do with the LGBTQ+ community are very meaningful to them.Would love to stay around $20-30.tl;dr: They love The Owl House, She-Ra, instruments, and languages, and they are queer. No clothes or jewelry. Oh, and we're college students, so I'm poor. Any ideas?? via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/imwp08/birthday_gift_ideas_for_my_platonic_life_partner/?utm_source=ifttt
