We haven't ever really connected with each other. My brother really clashed with him pretty aggressively at first, but has now accepted him. I haven't so much, and it's mostly because he smokes. He has tried to quit, promises my mom he will daily or weekly or whatever. I am trying to give him something that means something. So obviously Christmas is coming up and I’m trying to figure out what I want to give my boyfriend of six months. This will be our first Christmas together and coincidentally it will also be our eight month anniversary that day. There's this custodian who works at the college I go to. I always get to my first morning class really early so I always see her in there - this fairly young hispanic woman vacuuming, rearranging the desks, etc. and she always does such a thorough job. Always smiling, always so happy and cheerful. She also doesn't speak a lick of English but is always so kind to me. I would love to get her something just to show some appreciation. I know custodians typically don't get much appreciation. But her thoroughness and cheerfulness are incredible and I want to do something nice for her.
