So it's her birthday in another 2 weeks. We work in different cities and it's not possible for me currently to go and visit her on her birthday. So here I was feeling sorry for myself since my glasses broke and are held together by wire (had a corneal transplant and i would be blind as a bat without them) and my 20 year old son who has been in a coma since he was hit by a car at 5 years old is currently in the hospital). A very much loved gentleman from my church passed away and I did not get a chance to say goodbye. You'd figure this has been a horrible week. In a way it was very emotionally draining. I was thinking, you get older no one gifts you anything (I'm 40) how I miss being a kid. Then I go visit my cousin in Mexico he's doing rather well but I was helping his wife and neighbor make tamales. The neighbors 2 young kids were helping. Dirt poor, but the joy in those kids made me snap back into place. Sure I have a tough life but I'm not dead and I can still laugh.
