I am aware that it says only submit unique gift ideas, but I am not sure about the policy on idea requests. Anyway, my family is having a game that involves everyone to buy a 25 dollar gift and anyone could end up with any gift. Thanks for any help :D via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/7kym58/help_i_need_a_unisex_uniage_gift_for_25/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #In need of last minute Christmas Ideas to make my sad wife’s Christmas extra special this year.
Hello Reddit. I have been a long-time lurker pretty much since the beginning but never felt the need to post until now more than ever. I need some very last-minute help in the form of gift ideas. My wife’s grandmother passed away around Christmas last year and I feel my wife hasn’t been the same person ever since. I have been there for her as support as she heals but I really wanted to make this Christmas extra special for her. With basically a week left till Christmas I have been completely clueless as to what to get her. I have about 100 dollars tops this year. Between health and home needs that is my budget this year. There must be something I can get her that will make her smile when she opens it. She loves old time video games, costume jewelry, and scarves. Every time I search for these things online it is overwhelming. I am not that creative or good at buying gifts. I never was. So, this has been a nightmare and so overwhelming to try and find that one special gift. I don’t want to buy her something that will fall apart in 2 days or not make her smile. Am I crazy to think this can be done for this amount of money? Please provide all those ideas. No idea to dumb or small. I just need ideas. I always wondered when everyone always said RIP to your email box what that meant. Please make mine RIP so I can go through the best ideas and perhaps get that extra smile out of her this year.TLDR - Need a last-minute Christmas gift idea to make my wife smile who lost her grandmother last Christmas. Sorry for any posting/spelling/punctuation errors. I have no idea wth I am doing as I usually just lurk on here. Thanks in advance for everyone’s help😊 via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/7kx4tw/in_need_of_last_minute_christmas_ideas_to_make_my/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Gift for very practical, hard to shop for grandfather (70s) ?
My grandfather is super incredibly smart with a crazy good memory and quickly tires of hobbies, people, and things. As such, the more practical the gift, the better. One of the problems with buying him presents is that he doesn’t like it if he has to give too much personal information or billing info. Like buying him a Netflix subscription was a huge drama—he refused to use it because he didn’t like that his gift couldn’t be activated without providing billing information. My dad had to just add him his account.I am thinking about getting him a subscription to a VPN but I am afraid it will be a repeat of the Netflix problem.Any suggestions for a gift?He doesn’t like traveling and he doesn’t like going places. He is also not really the sentimental type that will get excited over a digital picture frame or something. In the past his hobbies and interests have included programming (like twenty years ago), woodworking/carpentry, making wine and other booze, and small engine repair. These hobbies go in and out and are hard to keep track of so the more generally useful something is the better. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/7kwgsr/gift_for_very_practical_hard_to_shop_for/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #5 year old boy - Nephew
I have to get a present for my nephew this year and I'm having trouble thinking of something. He's a very typical 5 year old boy; he likes super heroes, action things, cartoons, your average-joe 5 year old stuff. His favorite hero is Spiderman, but I've gotten him Spiderman gifts for the past two yearns and want to change things up. Problem is, I don't have a great idea of anything else specifically he is into right now since his preferences change with the winds. What is a generally cool gift for a 5 year old? Just something almost any kid would like? Priced reasonably, preferably under $50. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/7kvsxu/5_year_old_boy_nephew/?utm_source=ifttt
#gifts - #Which Christmas gift is best?
We are getting a Christmas gift for my visiting cousin (male, single, 40). But disagreeing on the best gift. One option is an InstantPot. He has mentioned a few times wanting to get one and asks us lots of questions about ours. Other option is AllBirds shoes - the comfy all merino wool shoes that are really popular this year.I'm leaning towards shoes since he has a high paying job, plenty of money, and already know about the InstantPot (and could easily get it for himself), so I figure we should get him something that isn't already on his radar. However, my hubs thinks we should get him something that he already knows and wants (I.e. The InstantPot) What do you think? via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/7kvd1e/which_christmas_gift_is_best/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Recommendation for a good history periodical? Also for a prestigious wine periodical?
My dad loves reading non-fiction history books. We get him books every year for Christmas and birthday, and I'll get him another book this year if I can't find a good journal or magazine (Grant by Chernow is on his list). I've gifted him all of Dan Carlin's podcasts. But I'm wondering if there's a monthly or quarterly periodical to which I could gift him a subscription. The second part is for my mom. She owns a wine store, and wants to become a sommelier. She's incredibly knowledgeable, but struggled to learn all the information required for the first part of her course. I thought if I could get her a periodical about wines and grapes, she could learn bit by bit, and be a little more prepared for her journey to becoming a sommelier. Thanks for any suggestions!! via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/7kvg1u/recommendation_for_a_good_history_periodical_also/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Do I get her a gift?
I'm not sure if I should get a Christmas gift for a girl I've been seeing since late October. We are definitely unofficial, and things are not yet serious. To add to the complexity, she's leaving on a big family trip and won't be back until the 27th. So I'm not sure if I'll have missed the Christmas window by time I see her.Do you all prefer to wait until things are more official or serious to do gift giving? via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/7kujip/do_i_get_her_a_gift/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Gift ideas for female coworkers?
I work in an office with 4 women who buy everyone in the office Christmas gifts, including me. They’re all moms. 3 of them are grandmas. Their lives revolve in a significant way around homemaking and caring for their families. That’s about all I know about them.Is there a ~$10 gift or knick knack that would be good to get them? (That’s about what their gifts for me cost.) I really don’t feel like I know them well enough to have a good idea what to get them, but I want to reciprocate their gifts. I hoped for something universal or ubiquitous that I could just get for all of them. I was planning on doing something like chocolates but a couple of them have food allergies/sensitivities.Any advice or tips would be appreciated! via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/7ktlo5/gift_ideas_for_female_coworkers/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Help with gifts for parents.
My dad is a big movie lover who's a huge fan of old European classics like Fellini, Bergman, Antonioni, and Truffaut. He also likes goofy comedies like Step Brothers, Borat, and Wedding Crashers. Also lately he can't have a conversation without talking about how Trump is terrible. My mom on the other hand is a really talented chef who's also been getting really into gardening (although it may be farming at this point because she's turned the backyard into an orchard and may be interested in getting chickens.) She's also into cheesy inspirational stuff like The Secret and inspirational posters that say things like "Believe."Any gift suggestions for these two? I'd really appreciate it. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/7kre8y/help_with_gifts_for_parents/?utm_source=ifttt
