My boyfriend and I are planning a small vacation together, so the trip itself won't be a surprise. He'll already know about and have gotten the time off work in advance, so there's won't be any of the "usual risks" that comes with gifting someone plane tickets.The way we usually do it, is that I book and pay for the plane and hotel, and then he transfers his half to me. I am by no means rich, but I do have a decent savings account that I'll use to pay for my part of the trip, but he doesn't, so he'll have to save up for the trip first. So I was thinking, that instead of having him pay me back for all of it I would gift him either the plane tickets or the hotel stay for his birthday. Possibly both, depending on the price.I just don't know how to give it to him.
