I'm in college, and I'm trying to think of something that would help a student a lot or be meaningful without going overboard (as it would be totally unexpected from their end). I had thought of maybe a USB with electronic versions of the books she needs (which could total a worth of hundreds of $), but I would need to figure out what classes before I gift it to her, which isn't possible. Candy is the easy route, so I'm looking for other suggestions. And I'll be letting her know it's just as a friendly gesture since it might come across as strange.
