#gifts - #Please share good ideas for gifts for a new remote worker

Hi,A close friend is working from home now and has never does it and is apprehensive about it. Doesn't love calling in for meetings, navigating technology, putting together a temporary working space, etc.I don't know that I can solve any of these problems with what I can do -- give a gift. I can give cash and will but because of my situation, probably in the form of a gift card. But, to be thoughtful what is a good gift for this situation? Anything from idk, I guess $500 but prefer less but who knows, for the right thing, I would stretch the budget.I have also thought of a subscription box, and suggestions for those would help, too. My dad is a computer scientist and quite the nerd. I'd like to get him a gadget or "hackable" thing since he loves to tinker and try to take apart things to make them work in different (but still useful) ways.
