#gifts - #Christmas ideas for husband?
I have no Idea what to get my husband this year for Christmas! (He always ends up buying me the best gifts ever and I feel like I always give him basic gifts) I was thinking some of you could help me out :) I was thinking about getting him a Samsung Galaxy watch, a product called "Manscaped" (this one is more for jokes lol), Maybe a cologne, or a dual ps4 controller charger? I feel like these aren't really good gifts... please help!My husband is 22 years old, he's currently in school for his bachelors degree, he works full time as an EMT, he served in the Marines for 4 years, he LOVES anime (Naruto especially), he loves video games (he has a gaming laptop already, xbox, and a PS4 Pro), he's born and raised in the Bay Area, he loves sports cars, he loves Marvel + DC, he also loves working out. #gifts - #Ideas for my Mom! The Catch: Nothing feminine!
I moved away to university a couple years ago and this Christmas I have a little money for a gift (about 50$CAD). I haven't really been able to give gifts before and want to make it something she will really love or at least use. The thing is, she doesn't like typical mom gifts. She is very butch. She doesn't wear jewelry, she doesn't like cooking, doesn't use beauty products or any of the type of products that come from places like Bath and Bodyworks (creams, lotions, body scrubs, bubble bath, etc), her partner is allergic to most scents (candles, sprays), and she doesn't really drink. I do know she likes coloring but she has over 100 coloring books and all the utensils she needs. She likes video games but they are too expensive.Any help is appreciated! via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/a46fvn/ideas_for_my_mom_the_catch_nothing_feminine/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #I have no idea what I want for Christmas!
So my family usually does this thing where everyone makes presents for each other, but this year I'm spending Christmas with my boyfriends family and they buy stuff, and I have no idea what I want. I have already wished for a book I really want and a casserole, but my ''mother-in-law'' needs gift ideas with a worth of $200 dollars. And I can not for the life of me come up with more stuff I want.I'm 23, f, student. I'm creative, but I have all the hobby stuff I really need. I like reading, but I can't really ask for 20 books! #gifts - #Gift for my 13 years old sister
Hi, I'd like to give my sister a gift for max 50 euro. She is into creative type of things like fashion design, drawing, painting and another DIY things. Unluckly for me she spents her pocket money on all this cool things, so she has an easel, paints, burshes, guide-books and even sewing machine, but maybe they are cool things I don't know about, so counting on you.She is also into gaming, but after i've moved with my PC she is left with her shitty laptop and old x360, so getting a gaming gift would be hard. I'm just starting my adult life and I can't get her Nintendo Switch or a budget pc... but who knows, maybe next year ;]She was recently talking about waveboard, so I think it might be my best option. Also she really likes Harry Potter, so maybe it will help you suggest something niceYou can check what I've came up with and maybe propose something diffrent.SweetsWaveboardPokemon socks~48euro togetherThanks for your help and merry christmas via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/a457ac/gift_for_my_13_years_old_sister/?utm_source=ifttt
#gifts - #This is the first year where I have enough spare cash to actually buy something halfway substantial for my mom for Christmas. Help!
This is the first year where I've made enough money to buy something more than just a card or some flowers. My budget is $50.Originally I was going to make a bench for her garden, but a cold snap has made it far too cold to do any woodworking (my workshop is open air), so I'm looking for something else for her.She has a pretty substantial garden, is a great cook, is a stay at home housewife/mom, loves wine, and knits (although not so much anymore because of joint problems in her fingers.). She makes her own soap, too.I'm completely at a loss and I dont want to just get her a jacket or a bottle of wine. I want something more interesting and unique than that.Any ideas? #gifts - #Help with how to gift someone a trip
For Christmas my siblings and I are getting my parents a trip to Hawaii (for next year). I can't contribute as much as they can so as a way to help contribute more my brother said I could come up with a way to present it to them, other than just handing them some pieces of paper. I want to come up with something really cool but I'm stuck :/I was thinking maybe of wrapping up a travel guide and gifting that to them but it seems kind of lame.I talked to my sister about maybe giving them something to use on their trip like a carry on bag with some things like sunscreen in it but my parents are very particular about luggage. She suggested adding in some other things like a Hawaiian shirt and towels and stuff but I don't want to give them a bunch of junk they don't need.I had another idea of getting them a book on Hawaiian history and then try to write in at the end of "and in 2019 parents went to Hawaii" but I don't want it to look cheap.Does anyone have any suggestions or opinions on the ideas I've presented? Thanks in advance! via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/a44mfa/help_with_how_to_gift_someone_a_trip/?utm_source=ifttt

I've been combing through various websites' stocking stuffer ideas and people's suggestions on social media and come up with a list of hopefully unusual stocking stuffers, at least ones different from the usual candy, oranges, and socks, but I've included some fairly usual ones too just in case people hadn't thought of them. #gifts - #Gift Suggestions for GF's Parents?
Hello Reddit,So I've been dating my current GF for 2 years now. I don't usually interact much with her parents, but over the past few months I've been seeing more of them so I'd like to get them each a holiday gift. The issue is that they both used to be farmers in China (they actually ended up moving to NYC to have my current GF due to the 1 child policy), and so due to language/cultural barriers, I don't talk or interact with them as much as I would like. My GF sees my family all the time, they always get each other gifts for birthdays, holidays etc., and it sucks that I'm not as close with her parents as she is with mine. I'd love to get them a gift that they would use and appreciate, but it's hard to think of something that I know they'd appreciate. They invited me over for dinner recently which went very well, so I was thinking to offer to take them out to a restaurant of their choosing as a gift (though they don't eat out often so not sure if they'd want to do that). My GF said that they both wanted some cold weather clothing for when they walk the family dog, but every item I show my GF she immediately says "oh they wouldn't like that"...I also asked my GF about things they like to do, to which she responded "all my parents do is work, eat, sleep, and watch Chinese dramas", which obviously didn't serve to help me (lol). I feel terrible that I need to go to Reddit for suggestions on what to gift them (though Reddit never lets me down!) but at this point I feel hopeless...I realize strangers likely won't know what to get them any more than I would, but Redditors always seem to be way more creative than myself. Anyway, thank you for reading and I appreciate any suggestions! via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/a446p8/gift_suggestions_for_gfs_parents/?utm_source=ifttt

I really love every part of Christmas - apart from the consumerist, gift buying side. #gifts - #Family Gift Exchange
One side of my family does an exchange each year. Basically white elephant/yankee swap. Limit $25. It’s my grandparents, parents, aunts/uncles, and a few cousins. Men and women. Everyone over 18.I’m trying to think of something different to give this year! Last year I got a board/party game. Ended up with my own gift lol. The year before I got a mug, hot chocolate, marshmallows, and Baileys.Other gifts are commonly lottery tickets, wine, gift cards. It can be a gag gift but it’s usually courtesy that the gag gift is around $5 and you get a $20 gift card to go with it.I’m a little stumped on something new to get. I thought about just getting a bunch of local coffee or something like that. Lots of them drink coffee. But anyone have any other ideas? Maybe something you’ve given in a family or coworker exchange that went well? via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/a40rf5/family_gift_exchange/?utm_source=ifttt
#gifts - #Christmas gifts for extended family I don't see often
Hi all,I'm really bad at gifting, hoping you can help me out with ideas for a few little odds and ends for extended family. I see them for 3 hours a year (on Christmas!) and I struggle a bit with knowing what they'd appreciate as I'm not very close with them.Looking for my aunt (80 years old) and cousin/her husband (mid-50s). Last year I got some homemade soaps and lotions, honey from a local farm, some fudge from the candy store, and some freshly roasted coffee from the local "roasterie".I'm considering doing the same thing again because I'm out of ideas, haha. There's a local dairy plant here as well, maybe a collection of a few cheeses or something? If you have any ideas on anything else I'd love to hear them. In previous years they've given out things like unique food items, popcorn, lotto tickets, wine, scented candles, little kitchen gadgets, funny gag gifts and we've enjoyed them all. I'm not sure if I should do food/coffee/soaps as people all have different preferences, but maybe I'm overthinking it and those things would be well received. Thanks! via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/a40rw6/christmas_gifts_for_extended_family_i_dont_see/?utm_source=ifttt
#gifts - #Gift suggestions for my newly married aunt and my other aunt?
Hi I make gift baskets for Christmas its easy and can be personalized. I wanted to make my 2 aunts one but I just don't feel like I know too much about them. One aunt just got married AND got a dog. So I know something for her dog is going in but I can't figure out what else and then my other aunt has no kids married for a long time and has 2 dogs. Both of them are fairly well off so I can't imagine its too much that they would need. If you can think of just one gift that would be great for each of them then I wouldn't even need to make a basket for them. My limit is like $40-$50 each. #gifts - #Laid off in time for Christmas and need help.
Hi All,I have never found myself in this position before, and I know that there are others out there is a similar, or worse place.I was laid off of work last month just in time for Christmas. I am lucky enough to have a beautiful wife and 2 year old daughter and I am making ends meet to cover my financial obligations, such as rent, energy bills, and loan repayments, and have cut all unneeded luxuries such as Netflix. However, I am not able to provide anything in the way of Christmas.I am looking to try and raise an extra £150 before Christmas, so that I can buy a few gifts for my wife and daughter, a tree and tree to make it still feel Christmassy.I am not necessarily begging. I am just asking for some help. If you have any services that I can do for you remotely, or if you know of any way I can get the money together, I would be sooo grateful.I have built my career around sales, so I don't mind doing sales calls for people, or computer based services (unfortunately I cannot code or program though) but I am willing to do what ever it takes to make sure my family have a good Christmas.Because I live in the UK, selling blood and plasma and so on is not an option for me.I have a few job interviews lined up for January, and once I am back on my feet I would be looking to repay any kindness. Can anyone help? via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/a3zjk2/laid_off_in_time_for_christmas_and_need_help/?utm_source=ifttt
#gifts - #Bad at gifting - need ideas for my SO
Just realised how bad I am with gifting. Growin up, in our family, everyone gave gifts of something that was needed, say new shoes or socks as I grew up in quite a poor family. Now, I do well for myself and live with my boyfriend, but I realise that I always think of things he probably needs, like a new wallet etc.One of his best friends just came up with a cute idea of getting him a wine label with our pet's photo on it, as my boyfriend always picks wines with an animal on the label. This is so thoughtful! She remembered this. I remember it too, and often tease my boyfriend about it, but why didn't I come up with such a great idea! Anyways...I started listing down things about my boyfriend, and I would appreciate some help with gift ideas!1- Picks wine bottles with animals on the labels, regardless of whether the wine tastes good or not - this idea is taken as I mentioned :@2- Sings in shower in the morning; loves musicals3- Dores his funny dance4- Makes bad puns and jokes, including good ones at times5- Puts off doing dishes for days!!!6- loves history - thought I'd gift him a map of roman empire or something. Or, should I gift him map of a place where we have travelled together. Where we met???7- Loves globes - he has been mentioning buying an old style drinks serving trolley with a globe. I saw a few options on Amazon but not sure about the quality and if it's a good christmas gift8- He was saying that he would like a new 2019 calendar. Can make him a personalized calendar?9- Loves games and he said he wanted to get new pokemon game. Shall I get him that, or let him buy it on his own in the new year? How can I make it interesting and personalised if I do gift him the new pokemon game?Appreciate all the help! via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/a3ypwo/bad_at_gifting_need_ideas_for_my_so/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #What to get a 5 year old boy who likes gadgets?
Our family has an Xbox and a Switch and my 5 year old is starting to get into video games. He's asked for several games but hasn't asked for anything "large." We want to get him something big (doesn't have to be expensive!) to put under the tree because his 10 year old sister is getting a "hoverboard" (yes, I know they technically don't hover). So we just want him to have that same wow factor on Christmas morning since a copy of Just Dance 2019 isn't quite as "ooh" and "ahh" worthy. ;)Edit for more specifics: He has a bike but there's not a lot of space outside of where we live for him to ride on things that much. Plus, it's cold and all that right now. He likes electronics and I've seen some of those robot toys that introduce programming but I don't know if he's old enough to understand how to quite work them? He's not into Legos or building toys really. Is there a musical instrument that's appropriate for a 5 year old? Open to all kinds of ideas!
