Have known him for 3 1/2 years, dating for a year and a half. I was in the US and he is in a European country but I recently moved to another EU country so we are not as far anymore. Last year he got me some really thoughtful, lovely gifts, but I am so bad at finding presents for people!!Honestly, he is a food snob, so nothing to do with food or coffee. But he does like wine.I am a 21 y/o grad student so I don't have a ton of money but I want to get him something nice.A bit about him, near Christmas he will be almost 27, he likes basketball (Eurobasket and also NBA), music but doesn't have a record player or CD player or anything like that, soccer, wine, cycling, hiking but doesn't go very often, reading (Russian and Italian lit), economics and politics, maps, he really likes statistics and data, random facts and things like that. Doesn't care about clothes/money and sees a lot of things as shallow.I have an extra brand new Tom Ford wallet that's not needed that I could give him as part of a present, but I think the fact he's in Europe and they use a lot of coins would be a problem, and I think something so expensive might make him uncomfortableI was thinking maybe some nice wine, a watch or something, maybe tickets to a concert or sports match? I feel like everything I think of is so basic and boring, I feel like he deserves so much and I want to give him everything. His birthday is pretty soon after Christmas though so I am trying to decide what is better for bday and for Christmas....Anyone know of any books full of interesting data/statistics? (ex. countries that drink the most beer, countries with highest cat ownership, etc.) he would love something like that. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/9tfkom/christmas_and_bday_gift_for_my_long_distance/?utm_source=ifttt
