#gifts - #Food/grocery gift in the US, is it possible? And can I send it as someone else?

I don't know if this is the right sub for this, but I have a friend that is down on his luck and is struggling to find a balance between college/work and having money for food/rent, so I kinda wanted to send him a care package of dry/canned food and snacks to help him out.Thing is, he doesn't like the feeling of owing people anything regardless of it being a gift or not, so he always tries to pay people back. I know this for a fact, because he's tried to give me $150 for taking 15min to change an alternator on his car(I eventually got him to settle on a 6 pack of beer) lol.His GF of 5 years is going to college full time now, so she can't contribute but is on board to this idea and, I'd like to make him think she sent it at least so he doesn't throw it away or send it back on accident. Is this possible at all? Or am I SOL and have to send a gift card instead? via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/f9xrfo/foodgrocery_gift_in_the_us_is_it_possible_and_can/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #gifts for family living abroad?

International shipping is always around $200 whenever I send stuff from my local post office. I'd like to know alternative gift ideas? The country that i am sending to also use different currency, and i don't know their local scene so i can't buy gift cards or pre-pay anything. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/f9um1y/gifts_for_family_living_abroad/?utm_source=ifttt
