I decided that I would mail her a single playing card each week of the year (52 weeks in a year, 52 cards in standard deck) with a cringe worthy pun or an inside joke written on each one. At the end of the year, she will have a deck of playing cards in which each card has an individual hand written message on it. I hope the postal service will actually mail a single playing card, but I figured it is not much different than a post card.
