We both applied for temporary jobs out of college and they were great references for us. We have returned home temporarily and they both have been super supportive and have been references for us again as we apply for more jobs. We are going to see them this week for the first time in several months and will be working with them for a few days. They have both been so wonderful to us and have really been instrumental in helping us both attain our career goals. I would like to give them each a small gift. I was thinking I would make each of them a card using some pictures from our last job and our travels but I would also like to get them something else.Her: mid-60s, botanist, spends all of her time outdoors but also very stylish. I'm trying to find a gift for my friends birthday. She keeps a lot of house plants and is very big on science. I was thinking of getting her something to go along with her weather-related decorations, but she already has Galileo thermometers, a barometer, and a storm glass. I dont know of anything else that exists in that category. As for the plant aspect, I know succulents are a good way to go, but they're so expensive. I can only find the ones in fancy decorative pots, and if anything, she has way too many little pots without a plant.
