I'll try to keep our relationship description brief, but I'm needing some help here. Ms. X and I met in maybe 6 or 7 years ago in our hometown in Missouri. Though we've been friends for years, we never were able to make the jump to being in a relationship until July of this year. Which even still, we're not quite "official," but, we definitely are 'something' more than friends. And it'll definitely be something more than that very soon. But... She still lives in Missouri. I live in Utah. And it's been like this for the entire 6-7 years. This year is a little different, as she's considering making the move to Utah. She traveled here in July and loved it.I'm already flying her here for the first week of January, but, I need some ideas for what to do for a Christmas present here. This situation is a bit unique, so that's why I'm enlisting the help of the internet.She runs her own photography business when she's not waitressing. She's got a passionate love for dogs and animals a like, and loves to travel more than anything. We have frequently discussed traveling the world together. First - in a remodeled VW van across the US, and then onto the rest of the world by backpack. Naturally, we have two states down already (Utah and Missouri) but more will come soon. I was kind of thinking about getting some pictures together and putting it on a map of the US and sending it home with her with a cute note, but.. That sounds a little cheesy. -- She's got a strong BS-Meter and doesn't really care for the cheese. In fact, between the two of us, I'm the more romantic and loving one (traditionally it's the other way around). I'm open about my feelings and not scared to show them, where she's a lot more locked down (though I was able to squeeze some emotion out).But I want to get her something that shows exactly how much she means to me, without being too overly cheesy. Something... Unique. To us.As stated in the title, she doesn't really care for money being spent on her. She was almost mad at me for buying her a flight out here instead of having her purchase it herself. She's VERY independent and does not like to be "pampered" so.. She makes the gift-giving thing very hard. Not sure if it's relevant, but she also isn't expecting anything.Some additional notes, if you want some more reading. Not too relevant: One discussion that has come up between us regularly over the years, including on our first date, is the idea of a movie being made of us. A Nicholas Sparks type of movie/novel (just without the sad ending. There's actually been a really good amount of discussion on this topic between us as our story really follows a plotline that belongs in a romantic drama. So with that said, I was also thinking about giving her something relating to that.
