My boyfriend is turning 40 years old this year and I am a bit stuck as to what to go get, so I need some help here! He gave me a wonderful birthday gift last year... and he upped a game unexpectedly. I am usually really good at gift giving, but this time, for his 40th, and it is 40th... I am having a challenge! I would love to give him something very special.Here are some pointers...He does not want to receive any gifts that he will be wearing - e.x. watch, wallet, bag, clothes, you name it...He is in Switzerland. He is determined for the rest of this year he will not travel outside of Switzerland.He has done quite a lot of things in his life. When it comes to experience gift, such as sky diving, bungee jumping, helicopter riding, hot air ballon riding, etc that is exciting will not probably work because he has done all of that.He planned a whole trip overseas...and took care of everything for my birthday. It was not a surprise trip but he planned pretty much everything after picking the destination I wanted to go. On top of that, he gave me a gift on my birthday last year. And that was my 40th birthday..One thing on his bucket list is to fly a fighter jet. I have researched and they are beyond my budget.. like costing almost 5000 USD at least in Switzerland.I thought about taking him to Europe Park. Technically it is in Germany but kind of close to Switzerland... But then I wonder if he will be happy to drive there (because I do not drive in Switzerland... ) for a few hours to get there... He does not like to drive for more than 3 hours one way. Unfortunately I cannot drive... a stick shift.. :(I thought about taking him to Paris Disneyland. For some reason he was saying he would love to go for some time. But then.. I wonder if he is happy as I will be taking him out of the country...on a plane... I checked a flight ticket, not that expensive. For a few days at the Disneyland, I guess I can manage.. but he does not want to be out of the country. This makes it a bit challenging.. All my options of being able to celebrate overseas which is kinda of easy for me, are not in my favor now.Throwing a dinner party or a lunch party inviting his friends and family. I hear in Switzerland, if you are a host, you pay. If we invite 10 -20 people, assuming it is 100 dollars per person ( because dining out in Switzerland in general is a bit expensive...compared to Tokyo where I am from) I am from Japan. When we throw a birthday party, we invite people, set the cost for participating the party, and ask them to pay, a flat rate for everyone. That way whoever can join can join without a hassle of anyone paying more or less.Spa treatment - we have gone to spas many times, so I dont think it is that special.Hiking - we have been to hiking in Switzerland. Not sure if it is anything special. If we go a bit far away from his place to go hiking, he needs to drive. I have a feeling he does not like to drive for a long hours... And especially on his birthday I do not want him to do that.BBQ - he has done it for his birthday beforeSome shows? Like a comedy show in Switzerland? I checked and on his birthday, one of the famous ones will be there but the tickets are all sold out :(One of a kind, customized presents - I have given him a book I made for him, pictures I made for him, world travel map customized for him, etc.. So ... not I want to give him something different than this.He loves Vodka. He does not drink wines that much. He cannot drink beer.Mug cups, guys whiskey set, etc with his names on them - I checked. Not sue if these are special because he does not drink coffee, or whiskey that much either.Any birthday present suggestion would be very much appreciated!
