#Gift for professor who wrote recommendation letter for unique opportunity?

I applied for a full scholarship to travel to Japan for a month - all expenses paid. The application process required a recommendation letter - I asked a professor of mine and she very generously agreed to write it. A few weeks ago I found out I was selected for the scholarship.I would've bought her a thank you gift regardless of the outcome of the application process but I figured that since I was picked and will be traveling to Japan soon, it would be nice to get buy her a gift from Japan.What would be an interesting - distinctly Japanese - gift that could accompany a thank you card? via /r/Gifts http://ift.tt/2lwIjvg
