My friend is an amazing gift getter. He finds great deals through forums and exchange boards, haunts Kijiji and similar websites and has amazing taste. He has an amazing collection of clothing, shoes, computers, and the like. For my birthday, I got a Nexus phone to replace my failing clunker. It retailed for over $600 and he got it for under $200. He has gifted beautiful scarves and designer bags to another friend that she wore confidently to job interviews with great results. We teamed up on the purse and she hasn't stopped thanking me for it. He's just freaking amazing at this stuff. On the flip side, he is always disappointed with my (and everyone else's) gifts. He's sweet about it and goes to great lengths to convince people that he's happy with their presents. I once went shopping with him to find a shirt to go with a new suit he had picked up... He bought the outfit to go to a family gathering so he could convince a family member that he liked a pocket square they had bought that didn't go with anything he owned.Christmas is a long way off but after a few years of lame gifts, I'm trying for something he'll actually like and I want to start early so I can keep an eye out for a while and get him something that will actually make him happy.Does anyone have a line on a good online market I can tune into to pick up a great deal on a small luxury item? Gift ideas would also be greatly appreciated. The man has done so many favours and gone out of his way so many times for his friends, it would be great to be able to do something special for him. He loves useful, quality items and spends a lot of time buying, fixing, and selling computers. I know he loves watches as well but I believe his taste puts these in the unaffordable range, even at a greatly reduced price. via /r/Gifts http://ift.tt/2seZT77
