#gifts - #Men of reddit: what're your thoughts on this gift idea?

My boyfriend's birthday is at the beginning of December and he's used to people kind of combining his birthday with Christmas. I love Christmas and birthdays very much and I think they both deserve their own individual celebration. I'm also BIG on gift giving. I don't usually spend a lot of money but always a lot of thought.Hes the type who has everything he wants already. If he wants something, he'll research it for a few hours, pick a really high quality version, and buy it within a day or two of wanting it. He's very specific as well so gifts he gets from his family can be a little disappointing, even though he's still SO grateful. He just would've been happier to have picked it out himself after weighing the pros and cons.So I've decided to write him a short (one ish page) letter for every day from his birthday thru Christmas. Some about how he makes me feel, some about how much I love and admire him, some about sexy stuff ;)On his birthday, I'll include a gift like a gift card to his favorite specialty coffee place and on Christmas I'll get him something like a personalized coffee mug or something. I want there to be a gift on both occasions but I feel like the short letters between will be a good buffer between them and maybe something he'll enjoy reading each day. Maybe he'll even read one that is exactly what he needs to hear on a stressful day throughout the busy holiday season. I don't know... that's my hope. He's not a SUPER sensitive guy (introverted, analytical, etc), but I wrote him a letter the first week we were dating and he liked it a lot, kept it, and still knows exactly where it is (I asked him if he still had it and he pulled it out of his desk and showed me about a week ago). He also wrote me a letter for my birthday, per my request. It was very sweet and loving -- stuff I think he finds a little too emotionally vulnerable to say all the time, but wants me to know.So with all of this in mind, what do you men think? Would you like this kind of gift? For context, we live together and are very much in love. We have talked about getting engaged not far down the line, kids, the future, etc. It's a serious relationship, not something casual. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/74pazq/men_of_reddit_whatre_your_thoughts_on_this_gift/?utm_source=ifttt
