The guy I love is turning 40 in October, and I'm running out of ideas on what to get him. I had some great ideas based on items he's mentioned he's wanted, but he would like to pick those out himself. One was a mini-guitar, and the other a surf-skate skateboard. I'd love to buy him the skateboard, but I don't know for sure which one he wants and I don't want him to be disappointed, so I'm going to nix the idea.A bit of background: we have been together over a year, and live together. We have one dog (an 8 mos puppy). Boyfriend is a scientist and loves to surf. For his birthday in October, we'll be camping three nights with friends at a legendary surf spot. For my birthday last July we went camping, too. He bought me a nice sweater, but what was sweeter was a little scavenger hunt he arranged surrounding the campsite before I "found" my present. He also loves good food (I'll be taking him out to dinner the night before camping), cooking, live music, and photography. I'm hesitant to book an "experience" or tickets for a concert because his schedule is always changing due to conferences and such.I thought about getting him a nice watch for surfing, but he wasn't into it. He always loses watches, so if he wears one, "it better be crappy."I'm running out of ideas! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/9b2rvn/running_out_of_ideas_for_boyfriends_milestone/?utm_source=ifttt
