My friend will be thirty next week, he's having a party at a local beer garden with lots of friends. I do not want it to be too big or too flashy. He has no children, a significant other who I am also friends with. He's a published writer, a tall white man with a beard in a very liberal city which he's not native to. I will be visiting Hawaii this week and I wonder if I could get him an engraved wood pen or something unique like that, but would love some help!
