The adults in my family usually spend about $50 on each other each year, it seems to be the unspoken agreement. However, a couple of years ago, my sister and her husband were both gainfully employed with low cost of living. At the same time, my wife and I were struggling. That year, they knew that I would want and enjoy the Playstation 4 but that our financial situation would never allow for it, so that was my gift from them. It was really overwhelming. And the fact that they bought an extravagance made it feel not like it was demeaning for them to buy it for me while we were struggling financially. This year, the tables have turned a bit. We are through with grad school and both making pretty decent salaries, while my sister has been laid off and they have another kid. I would like to do something similar. Spend something in the $300-500 range for the two of them that represents some sort of entertainment or enjoyment they probably wouldn't feel the freedom to have, given their current situation. However, I really cannot come up with good ideas for this and was hoping reddit could help. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/9we0t6/gift_for_sister_brotherinlaw_400/?utm_source=ifttt
