#gifts - #Help with a gift for me (conservative) dad

Hey everyone, could use some creative suggestions here. My dad is impossible to shop for. Half the things I get him that I think he'll like go unused. Here's all you need to know about him: he loves mafia movies (particularly the Godfather), westerns, and he is conservative (frequently reads books by Bill O'Reilly). He also likes golf, fishing, and hunting, but doesn't do those things as often as he used to. He's a big bird-watcher too (already has the binoculars and bird book). The trouble is that I've already exhausted all my gift options in these arenas. Stuff that is new and unfamiliar is tough for him to get into, he's pretty boring and likes what he likes. One big gift letdown a few years ago: I bought him the first couple seasons of Deadwood on DVD because he loves westerns and is usually a fan of whatever he watches on HBO. Don't think he ever touched those DVDs because he mostly just watches stuff on demand now. If I get him a book, it has to be about a subject he's definitely interested in, and it can't be too intellectual (he's currently reading a book about James Mattis). I'm a big ol' lefty liberal, so I generally refuse to buy him any conservative crap, but buying him anything anti-Trump or pro-lib to try to educate him will go unread (or un-understood). Old standbys of golf balls, etc. are boring, not trying to go there. I'm also on a very tight budget this year, so I can't buy him a watch or anything like that.tl;dr: what do I get for an old conservative white guy with limited interests (mafia, westerns, Republican politicians) who doesn't like to tread too far into new territory? All my ideas have been exhausted over the years.Edit: should say MY conservative dad. I'm not Irish or a pirate. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/a4y0bo/help_with_a_gift_for_me_conservative_dad/?utm_source=ifttt
