We've been dating for around 2 months now and have been good friends for 5. Our relationship isn't HUGE on extravagant gift giving (he got me a copy of my favorite book with a little note for my birthday), but I'd still like to get him something thoughtful. Some stuff about him/our relationship: he is crazy smart and empathetic. He has SUCH a big heart and it's one of his favorite things when I remind him of that. We're both in med school and both have a slight interest in psychiatry. He loves math and etymology and words; his family speaks a bit of Tamil, and he's learning Hindi (as my family and I speak it fluently). He plays guitar and piano and loves music (I'm for sure getting him a customizable guitar pick with one of his favorite pet names that I call him engraved on it).The fact that his family is Hindu and mine is Muslim is a really important part of our relationship, as we're trying hard to bridge the divide (Muslims and Hindu historically have a good deal of tension). He's super funny and keeps up with politics (mildly liberal-leaning). He loves Indian culture. He really, really cares about mental health and making the world a better place for other people. In addition to the customizable guitar pick, I'm writing him a decently long letter. I also have a windbreaker I bought that I could give him, but I'd rather give him something personalized and romantic to our relationship. Any ideas would be SO appreciated!! via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/aeor1x/birthday_gift_for_boyfriend/?utm_source=ifttt
