#gifts - #Is a recipe box or a recipe book a better gift?

My boyfriend has wanting to learn how to cook since we’ve been together, and I have slowly been teaching him. I’ve been gathering recipes for a while so I can make a gift for him or all of the recipes we have made and he liked.... but which is better? A recipe BOX or a recipe BOOK?For the box I would get a cute little box that fits index cards comfortably. I’d write 1 recipe on each card and categorize them by types of foods (appetizer, entree, dessert). The benefit to this is he can add recipes or remove them as he continues to learn and grow as a cook ... and he can also put new recipes in the appropriate place for organization and easy findingFor the book I would get a nicely bound notebook and write in all of the recipes in a similar style. It might be easier to travel with and not lose all of the recipes. It’s also easier to flip through and see what your options are when you’re trying to figure out what to make for dinner/dessert.I can’t add a picture but if you google “recipe box” you get a good idea of what I would be making... and I’m sure you’ve seen recipe books before.I’m torn! What do you think? via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/c1ssyc/is_a_recipe_box_or_a_recipe_book_a_better_gift/?utm_source=ifttt
