Hey everyone, I'm a 24 year old guy who's looking for advice on buying a engagement ring for my gf (22) who I've been dating for going on 7 years now. I have 1500$ of my own money and my father has offered a similar amount, so let's say a total of 3k. Since my father is helping out, I decided to go with a diamond, though I hate them, my gf like most gals is a big fan and I know that it's the traditional thing to get. I've visited multiple dealerships and haven't had good experiences, with most places obviously trying to upsell me, and looking online is to sketchy for such a big purchase. What have you guys done for engagement rings? Any tips? Do you guys know any good alternatives?
