35m here. I'm gonna propose to my gf soon and am looking for rings. I don't really wanna get her a diamond ring because I know the diamond industry is a scam. (They hoard diamonds to artificially keep prices high and they came up with that whole 3months salary bullshit). Anyway I found this beautiful ring with a big ol red ruby on a black gold band that I really like. I think my gf will like the black band but I'm afraid it won't be socially acceptable or she'll be embarrassed or something. You know everybody gotta show off their rings and what not these days.
