I think pet portraits are a great gift and you can find some really talented artists on reddit. I make pet portraits myself and I love doing it. A lot of the portraits I make are for a pet who has passed on. I love creating something that will be cherished. I can recommend some boards to find artists but I think you all are savvy enough to search around. You can usually find an artists at any price point you are looking for.
