So my fiance's birthday is in early May. He's turning the big 30 and unfortunately, we are quarantined. Before all this COVID stuff started his parents and I were tentatively going to throw him a big party. They threw a big 30th for his brother a year and a half ago. They even flew out some of his brother's close friends who live out of state. My fiance has lots of friends and is a social butterfly in general. So I was thinking of contacting most of his friends and close family and asking them to just make a quick 10-20 sec video saying Happy Birthday etc. Then I would make a montage of that and play it for him on his birthday.Do you guys think this is too much or that this would be weird or awkward? I am an introvert with only a few friends, so I'm trying my best to put my extrovert hat on and do something nice for my fiance lol. I could just try to organize a zoom happy hour/party and those who can make it can come but that might be weird because his friends all kind of fit into categories, college, high school, career, etc, and may not work with so many people, but I still think this could potentially be fun. What do you think? I like the video idea because I think he would like to see and hear from everyone. But, I just want to make sure it's not embarrassing or too much.
