She's moving to the Bay Area to work as a research associate in biotech. I would like to get her something useful as opposed to a novelty item. I know money is a common suggestion, but I'd like to get her something more personal, and money would likely go toward clothes or something less practical. Some general directions that I'm considering:- Some sort of python for ETL, data analysis, and basic bioinformatics course to help her level up at work. Another class might be the last thing she wants to see right now. Or maybe there's a better gift in this vein- Something practical for her car, apartment, or living in the Bay (sublease, so it's furnished). Maybe a dashcam?
