Best way to present Valentine's Day gifts?

So I plan on getting my girlfriend a dozen roses in a vase, a fruit bouquet/basket, a gold-dipped rose, and possibly some chocolate covered strawberries. Most of the items will need to be put out for her before she gets home by a friend as I will be at work. What would be best? Would it be good to place out the roses, gold-dipped rose, and the fruit for her to come home to and have me come home from work to her with nothing in my hands? Or would it be better to present the roses and come home with the fruit in hand, so I have something to give personally? via /r/Gifts http://bit.ly/2jLfmGI
Need gift ideas for an incredibly inspirational teacher

I'm going to try to keep this as short as possible, but a little backstory is needed.I [20/F] dropped out of high school when I was 16. When I was 19 I made the decision to go back and get my credits through an alternative school for adults that offers a credit program. When I first got there I didn't have a whole lot of confidence in my academic abilities, nor did I have a real idea of what I wanted to do once I got my credits. I figured I'd just go to college and do a trade of some sort - not anything I'm passionate about, just something that would turn a paycheck. Enter Mr. Motivation.I had Mr. M for English class in my first semester there, and throughout that semester we would have long talks about my work (which he loved), my hopes and dreams and everything in between. He helped me build confidence in myself towards my academic potential and completely changed how I felt about what I could accomplish after I get my high school credits. Even though he isn't teaching me this semester I still visit his classroom regularly for a chat and some words of wisdom. Thanks to him I'm now going through the application process to several different universities across the country, and I honestly couldn't be more excited. I can't describe what a positive impact he's had on my life and mentality over the past year, so much so that I'm tearing up as I write this. I'm set to graduate in a couple months (with honours, scholarships and the whole nine yards), and I wouldn't feel right if I didn't get him something to show how much I appreciate his support. A simple thank you just won't cover it.I'm definitely going to write him a little something telling him how absolutely thankful I am for everything he has done for me, but I also want to get him some sort of gift. He's an older guy (mid 50s), but still very energetic and active. He is hands-down the most positive person I've ever met, loves hockey, playing golf, coffee and anything positive or motivational.Any suggestions for a small meaningful gift for this wonderful man would be appreciated!TLDR: Dropped out of high school, went back to finish a few years later, met an incredible teacher that instilled so much confidence in me, want to get him a gift. He loves hockey, playing golf, coffee and anything positive and motivational. via /r/Gifts http://bit.ly/2kxwdAZ
Need help with Banana challenge ideas for a gift

Not sure where else to post this, so I'm trying a few subs. I already have the gift idea, i'm just trying to perfect the details so I can execute it. Mods, Please feel free to remove if you feel it isn't relevant to the sub.Fellow redditors, I need your ideas and input! My fiance's 30th birthday is coming up, and I wanted to do something fun to celebrate. Long story short, he has a crew of best friends from childhood, but they all live across the country/world now. They're all obsessed with bananas and banana puns, so I thought I'd create the "Banana Challenge". I mailed a ceramic banana dish to each of his friends and developed a list of rules and a list of challenges. I told them not to say anything about what they receive in the mail until my fiance contacts them on his birthday with further explanation. I really need some more suggestions though! I'd like to have at least 12 good ones Here is what the dishes look like and Here is what I have so far...intro in card: In order to ensure that your 30th birthday is Bananas, I have created a challenge that I hope you find apeeling.Directions: On the first of every month, Fiance will text a pre-determined challenge to the group. You each have the entire month to complete the challenge. You must text pictures of you completing the challenge. The challenges will begin once you all have your bananas. Points will be awarded by order of photo submission. (First to submit gets 5 points, second gets 4, third gets 3, and so on) if a picture is not submitted for the month, no points are awarded. At the end of the year, the person with the most points gets a prize.Challenge Ideas:Use your banana to...1.Eat something purple2.Eat without using your hands3.Drink your favorite drink (must send video)4.Take your banana to work and eat your lunch from it5.Eat a banana split6.Eat a well balanced breakfast7.eat a recipe you've cooked involving bananas8.Eat your birthday cake from your banana9.Try a new food, but eat it from your banana10.Have some soup from your banana.11.Serve an appetizer to guests from your banana12.Post a pic to Facebook of you eating from your banana13.Build a fort. Put your favorite childhood snack in banana. Go in fort. Hide out and eat14.Eat your favorite healthy snack from the banana15.Shoot for a streak. Whoever eats from the banana for the most days in a row wins the most points16.Convince a friend to eat from your bananaif you don't have any suggestions, I'd appreciate any input on which challenge numbers sound hilarious, and which sound stupid. Thank you!!! via /r/Gifts http://bit.ly/2jEzaA5

Help Finding Gift Ideas for My Parents, Heartbroken to See Me Move

Hi everyone,TLDR: I'm [24/F] and moving out, possibly forever, and going to be living with my boyfriend [28/M] . I'm very family oriented, and would like to get/make my parents a gift. Any suggestions?Full Post: I'm a 24/F grad student and will be moving into an apartment with my boyfriend of 4 years this weekend. I've always been family oriented, and will still be able to visit, but not as frequently as I'd like to. My dad opened up to me tonight about how he's sad to have me move out, possibly forever, but he's happy for me and knows this is part of life. I knew this would be hard on my dad, largely because I have 2 brothers and I'm his only daughter. It's starting to hit me now and making me emotional too. I know this will be for the best, as the place is close to school and I feel the need for a change like this in life. My mom is adjusting well, but I'd like to either buy them gifts or make them something, along the lines of "I'll always be your little girl" , but I can only find wedding gift ideas online. My boyfriend and I plan to get married at some point, but we're not engaged yet, and probably won't be a few more years.Thank you via /r/Gifts http://bit.ly/2jJrtUA
