I'm from the UK - and my nan is turning 89 in a little over a week.I've tried to talk to my sister about ideas, and she's set on buying my nan some succulents.In all honesty, finding gifts she will appreciate is a task.She's lost the ability to smell and taste, so food is off the well...menu.She likes drink, but I think someone else will think of that first, since it's an easy one.She likes gardening, but she is no longer mobile enough to do it, and instead my mum and her partner tend to her garden.She's sick of random things to keep and decorate her home as she's pretty picky with her decorations, plus she's quite morbid and expects to drop dead any time and doesn't want more *things*.We've tried to purchase her things that will improve her life, like a teasmade but she cannot be bothered to use them. If something isn't very instant or requires thought, she won't want to bother learning how. One time we purchased her a kindle for reading and I created an entire illustrated guide for her...
