I mention this because she is currently in the process of getting rid of a TON of material possessions, since she can’t afford to put them in storage and won’t have room at her friend’s apartment.Normally in a situation like this, I would think an experience would be more valuable than something material, but living so far away doesn’t really give me that option. I’m not in a financial position to be able to pay for something big like a storage unit or anything like that, but I don’t think getting her something like jewelry would be appropriate at this point in her life.
