I'm looking for gift books for my SIL that discuss the history of domestic life across cultures, with a particular emphasis on the items and architecture that reflect people's day to day tasks and experiences. So I decided to get him a roundtrip to San Fran and an Airbnb credit (he stayed with his friends at a friend’s house when he went over there so I decided it’d be a nice gesture).I want to get him an actual physical gift as well, but my question is more so whether my idea for the execution of the gift is good.I found an illustrated field guide to San Francisco online, and I planned on ordering it (it’s a physical book) and putting the gift cards inside so that when he opens up his gift, I can tell him to open the book to find the gift cards rather than just giving him the gift cards and being like “here take it”.Is that too corny?
