Hi there! Happy Holidays y'all! I hope this is the right place to post this question. So, for Christmas my boyfriend and I exchanged Amazon Wish Lists to help with gift giving idea and it absolutely has been very helpful. The issue is I am having a hard time choosing what I actually want to get for him. I am giving myself a budget of $50 for his gift and have narrowed it down to two options: A $50 gaming accessory - A LogiTech Programmable Gameboard. He loves gaming and has quite the set up at his desk already. This is on his wish list, but even before sending me his wish list, I recall him talking about this piece of equipment and how exciting it would make his gaming sessions. He LOVES customizing his gaming equipment and I know this would be the ultimate toy for him right now.Two different items that add up to about $50 - A climbing harness and a nice sling backpack. He also has this hobby of climbing and parkour and usually when he buys for himself, it is something to add to his collection of climbing gadgets and tools. When I initially asked him about what he would like for Christmas these two things were the first things out of his mouth.I am torn! Also I can't help but take into account that the gaming gift he could use RIGHT AWAY that day, but the climbing gear would get put into a drawer until it gets a little warmer again and he can use them. If you ask him what he wants, he shrugs his shoulders and says “I don’t know.” When we buy him things that we think he might like, he ends up returning them. Here’s the deal with this jerk (I love him very much but damn): He’s 54. He works in New York City and commutes an hour and a half every day. He retires this year and he cannot fucking wait. He loves football and baseball. That would make you think of tickets to a game, right? Wrong. He does not like to go to them, just watch them. He also will not wear most memorabilia, outside of maybe a long sleeve shirt with a team’s emblem on it. He has a collectible car that he babies but we have already exhausted all gift options for it (reupholstered, new car cover, detailing etc.). Other than that, the only other major thing about him is that he’s really into his heritage (Italian immigrant). He’s flying to Italy after Christmas to see his parents, and will be there for two weeks. He’s pretty anti-technology, too (has returned tech we’ve gotten him in the past). Normally I wouldn’t stress this much but I moved out this year and I really miss him and I want to give him something that he’ll really like this year.
