I recently lost my fiance in a traumatic car accident. This past week, I met the man who was the first person to stop at the scene of the accident. Meeting him was completely by chance and I am still shocked that it happened. He and his wife own a local shop and restaurant. Since they are in the restaurant business, I would have no idea what to get them because I would normally maybe give them some sort of dessert, but that doesn't seem appropriate since they own a restaurant that sells desserts. I want to write a handwritten card to them and maybe give them some flowers? But I'm just not sure. I also don't know them well enough to know their tastes. I just want to give them a small token of thanks and plan on writing a heartfelt note.
