Hey all,Christmas is coming quick and I'm in need of advice for a gift I want to give. Some context, we're both mid 20's, it's a serious relationship 6+ months with her. She's with an awesome girl, we get along great, have been on many adventures, she's met the family, etc. Things are well.Okay, so anyways, I'm a white guy and she's White/Hawaiian (mom white, dad Hawaiian)..I know you're probably thinking why does this matter? It doesn't, I just want to see if what I'm going to say is an okay gift to still give her..knowing I'm not Irish and she's White/Hawaiian (looks more white)I found out about the Irish Claddagh awhile back, long before I even met my girlfriend. Once I found out about it I loved the idea of it. Loyalty, friendship, love. (crown, hands, heart)Because we're such big parts of each other's lives now I was thinking of getting her a Claddagh necklace with her birthstone in it. She doesn't really wear jeweler and told me she does when she dresses up (which isn't often -- we're both in medical) and that she has a neckless she keeps that her dad gave her.I'm just curious if this would be a nice thoughtful gift, even if she doesn't wear the neckless..or all the time.
