I recently turned 30 and my mom has really been wanting to get me something for my birthday. I usually shy away from asking for something because I don't want to burden her but she has gotten pretty ill and has cancer. She commented on how she was happy to have made it to see me reach this milestone and I noticed how she has been eyeing some of my stuff, saying my watch is nice, etc. (galaxy watch2). I realized she was really looking to gift me something that is kind of nice for my birthday but also as a memento to remember her.I feel dumb for not realizing this earlier but I am actually having a hard time thinking of what to ask for. Ideally, something that will last a while. I live in a HCOL city with roommates so I don't have a strong sense of home yet. Would getting a 500 dollar normal watch be a good idea? Would love suggestions.
