A friend who I’ve known for years has moved into his own apartment (27M). Previously he’s lived with girlfriends, but this is the first time he’s lived alone.We have some dating history from 2 years ago, but I’ve only seen him a handful of times sporadically since we’ve stopped but we speak and social media every fortnight or so. I admire him a lot and care for him deeply. I definitely get the impression I care about him more than he cares about me so would want a more casual present to reflect this.He’s recently completed his first year of college to be an electrician. He loves going out drinking, socialising, smoking weed, having fun. Like I said, has also just moved into an apartment. We don’t see each other much now because I am in recovery and am sober, whereas he likes a party lifestyle.I don’t want to take him out to dinner or anything to “datesy” as I don’t want him to think I am initiating an intimate relationship.
