#gifts - #Gifts for FIL’s new home?

Hi! My FIL (who is a single man in his mid fifties) has recently moved houses and has invited my and my boyfriend over for this weekend.I want to bring a gift for his new home, but quite honestly, I’m at a loss of what to buy.I’m a rather poor student so my budget would be around $20-$25. Normally I’d buy nice flowers or something for their home (such as candles or a vase) but I feel like that’s all a bit too feminine for a fifty something guy that’s been divorced 3 times. My boyfriend mentioned he wants to do something with his garden but I feel like a gift card for a garden center would be lame and I don’t want to just buy a plant and hope he likes it.He’s very tech savvy but already owns things like Apple home, Sonos, etc so I don’t really want to add to that since he knows way more about that stuff than I do.Any advice is welcome! via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/9v3x3y/gifts_for_fils_new_home/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Gift for my girlfriend who loves music and creative works

I was thinking about writing a song about us and search for a musician to perform and record it, but I'm worried that I'm a bad lyricist. I definitely want to gift her something selfmade or creative. She doesn't like material gifts. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/9v24l0/gift_for_my_girlfriend_who_loves_music_and/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Surprise 1st class seats on honeymoon

So my fiance and I can't get time off to go on a honeymoon until 3 months after our wedding, so I decided to save up and put aside my annual bonus to surprise him with 1st class tickets to our honeymoon destination to make it feel a little more honeymoon-like and not just a random trip since it's so long after our wedding. Well, now I have the 1st class tickets, and I'm trying to figure out the best way to surprise him. I'm pretty sure I could at least get us to the airport without him knowing since I handle all our trip logistics/online check-ins. I've never flown 1st class before, so I don't really know how the airport part of it works, although I do know there's no 1st class lounge or anything in our departure city. Should I try to surprise him at the airline gate and hope we get all the way there without him looking at the ticket closely? Or should I try to surprise him another way? Any ideas? via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/9v29wj/surprise_1st_class_seats_on_honeymoon/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Need to think of a special gift for a special friend

Me and my best friend have had a weird year. We have argued a lot about stupid BS and at times I have definitely been on the wrong. It makes me feel guilty that she has still stood by me and even spent money to buy me a plane ticket for me to come and visit her which was the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me. I love her so much. The plane ticket cost 100's and she hasn't accepted my offer for me to give her the money for it.I really want to surprise her with a special gift but I can't think of anything. She is 28 years old and spends a lot of time working/studying. She is laid back and likes to drink beer/chill in her spare time.I don't know what else to say about her that would be relevant, but can anyone help me think of a gift that she would love? I am willing to spend up to 600 US dollars. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/9v1pp8/need_to_think_of_a_special_gift_for_a_special/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Surprise Trip Gift

My bf and I love traveling (especially together), so I thought for his birthday I would surprise him with plane tickets to a place we've both been wanting to travel to. Because it's a surprise, I have a few questions about planning that have popped up in my head and wanted to share them in case anyone had any suggestions:What is the best way to pick out dates for the trip, bearing in mind something that fits both of our schedules and that he would need to request days off? He has plenty of vacation days at his work - and I have an idea of what time of year is least busy (and therefore ideal for a trip) I'm hoping to book enough in advance that first of all, I could give him the tickets on his bday and that he would not have anything booked at the time of the trip.If I'm already buying the plane tickets, should I also book accomodations and any activities we might do? I like having things prepared and by the time he receives the gift I'm nervous there will be less availability/options, but at the same time I have a pretty limited budget, and I want us to both take part in the trip planning so it will be more teamwork and we can do things we both want to do. Or would it be really cool to give a trip that is all expenses paid?Because of the surprise factor, should I buy any trip insurance such as sick days, etc...in case something goes awry with my plan?Any ideas for how to present this gift to him?? via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/9v1kxn/surprise_trip_gift/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Amazing Anniversary Gift!

Was running out of gift ideas for my 3rd wedding anniversary, when i stumbled upon this Etsy shop that saved me! The artist recreates wedding bouquets as gorgeous paintings, creating a memory of something often forgotten about after the ceremony (or at least i did lol). I just placed an order and sent in a photo of my wife's bouquet, so I'm excited to see how it turns out!Thought i'd share for anyone else struggling to find a unique & romantic anniversary gift! via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/9v0lfn/amazing_anniversary_gift/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #I am officially out of gift ideas for my boyfriend

My boyfriend and I have been together for like 4 years and I feel like I have exhausted every idea I could possibly come up with. I've done all of the cheesy arts and crafts shit, he buys everything that he wants for himself before anyone else can, and he's not into cool little tech gadgets or other interesting gifts that could be a quick buy. Does anybody have any suggestions on how I can handle this? Or do any men on here have any pointers on how to shop for a man who has everything? It's only November and I'm ready to cancel Christmas. via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/9usm7j/i_am_officially_out_of_gift_ideas_for_my_boyfriend/?utm_source=ifttt

He is very creative, a manly man to say the least. He enjoys making stuff with his hands like knives and hand tools. He enjoys sharpening his knives until they are scary sharp. He also likes hiking, video games, and lawn care. #gifts - #Small gift idea for boyfriend?

I got him one pretty cool thing already, but he mentioned to me at the end of this month he’s going hunting with his dad. It gets really cold in Michigan, so I was thinking something to keep him warm? A hat/beanie? Not gloves. Maybe a nice mug to keep some coffee warm while he’s out there? Something $50 and under. He’s into Star Wars, he’s a nerd (PC and console gamer as well as games like D&D).Preferably something I can get from Walmart / Target /Kohl’s or other big box stores, or maybe something amazon prime eligible but I prefer in store purchases. Thanks! via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/9uupkt/small_gift_idea_for_boyfriend/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #Gifts under $30 for my wishlist

Hello! My friends and I are doing Secret Santa this year and our price limit is $30 and we post wishlists and I don't know what to ask for.The issue is that if I want something, I will go ahead and research it extensively, and then buy the best one for myself at the most optimal price. I basically have everything I already want or need. I'm scared that if I ask for something vague, that I will receive a gift that I don't think is worth $30. I understand that it's the thought that counts but I just want to make the most of my wishlist. For reference, I am also someone who prefers practical gifts. I would ask for books but I am in the middle of moving and cannot commit to buying physical novels rather than ebooks right now. I don't really wear jewelry nor do I often need more makeup. I don't need any more mugs, mittens, hats, scarves, nor gloves etc. since I am trying to declutter and already have many. I don't need anymore stationary, don't need a water bottle, don't need travel gear, don't need little knick-knacks. So far, on my list, I have lots of chocolate and face masks. I was thinking of asking for car necessities such as a phone stand or aux cord - but then again, I would rather research the best items and buy them myself. I am fully aware that I sound very picky. Any ideas? Please help! via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/9uta5t/gifts_under_30_for_my_wishlist/?utm_source=ifttt

I went to create and purchase a physical photo book (as I have done for years) using iPhoto. Unfortunately, the BUY icon this time was disabled. #gifts - #Gift ideas for grandpa that has done everything for me

Hi there! My grandpa is wonderful. He is a car salesman, and sold me my car that I currently drive (even helped paid for it). It came to everyone's attention that it needed thousands of dollars of repair. He has been fixing it up with his own money starting with buying a new battery and radiator, and a new BCM (which costs alone $1000).I need some ideas for a gift to show that I really am grateful for all he has done and that I love him a lot. However, saying that, I honestly dont know him that well. I know he's a big fan of football, and over the course of the years, I've gotten him cheap Seahawks merch as a gift (while he gave his gift cards and other things). But it just kinda sucked and seemed lousy of me.I was thinking about giving him $$$ as a repayment and a heartfelt letter, but I figured it was too impersonal and was just generally sucky. And so, I need some ideas for gifts I could get him to show that I thought it out and that I love him dearly and thank him for everything.((I dont know if this needs to be mentioned, but the most I can afford is like $300 because I'm still in high school. Thanks!)) via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/9ul8uv/gift_ideas_for_grandpa_that_has_done_everything/?utm_source=ifttt

Hi there. My father in laws birthday is coming up soon and i have such a hard time finding what i should get for him. #gifts - #Gift ideas for Boyfriend (28)

My incredible boyfriend(28) is worthy of so much and I want to make this the best Christmas of his life. He loves pokemon, Zelda, hockey, music (arctic monkeys, black keys, queens of the stone age, eagles of death metal) he loves artsy music posters, we recently got a Nintendo switch and loves the new zelda game, he likes beer (not ipas), we go to breweries all the time. His love language is quality time, loves hats, giant bomb and cool shirts. He also loves Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Oh and he recently got a brand new iPhone XR and he loves it (maybe some sort of accessory ideas?). We live in Minnesota and he walks about 15 minutes to work everyday in the cold. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We have been together for a year now and I just want him to feel as amazing as he has made me feel. No more than 200 American dollars please :) via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/9u9e5v/gift_ideas_for_boyfriend_28/?utm_source=ifttt

#gifts - #How to Lose Weight Fast: 3 Simple Steps, Based on Science. Best gift for girlfriend to loss weight

1. Cut Back on Sugars and StarchesThe most important part is to cut back on sugars and starchesWhen you do that, your hunger levels go down and you end up eating much fewer calories. Now instead of burning carbs for energy, your body starts feeding off of stored fat. causing your kidneys to shed excess sodium and water out of your body. This reduces bloat and unnecessary water weight. It is not uncommon to lose up to 10 pounds (sometimes more) in the first week of eating this way, both body fat and water weight.2. Eat Protein, Fat and VegetablesEach one of your meals should include a protein source, a fat source and low-carb vegetables. Constructing your meals in this way will automatically bring your carb intake into the 20–50 grams per day.Protein Sources· Meat: Beef, chicken, pork, lamb, etc.· Fish and Seafood: Salmon, trout, shrimp, etc.· Eggs: Whole eggs with the yolk are best. The importance of eating plenty of protein cannot be overstated. This has been shown to boost metabolism by 80 to 100 calories per day .High-protein diets can also reduce cravings and obsessive thoughts about food by 60%, reduce the desire for late-night snacking by half, and make you so full that you automatically eat 441 fewer calories per day — just by adding protein to your diet .When it comes to losing weight,Low-Carb Vegetables· Broccoli Cauliflower Spinach Tomatoes Kale Brussels sprouts Cabbage Swiss chard Lettuce Cucumber· Don’t be afraid to load your plate with these low-carb vegetables. You can eat massive amounts of them without going over 20–50 net carbs per day.· A diet based mostly on meat and vegetables contains all the fiber, vitamins and minerals you need to be healthy.3. Lift Weights 3 Times Per WeekYou don't need to exercise to lose weight on this plan, but it is recommended. The best option is to go to the gym 3–4 times a week. Do a warm-up and lift some weights. If you're new to the gym, ask a trainer for some advice.By lifting weights, you will burn lots of calories and prevent your metabolism from slowing down, which is a common side effect of losing weight Studies on low-carb diets show that you can even gain a bit of muscle while losing significant amounts of body fatThe most important we need a body fat scale to check everyday for loss weight. We recommend body fat scale for record everyday loss weight for you ref, also it is best gift for you girlfriend and boyfriend. https://www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Accurate-Weight-Composition-Analyzer/dp/B0728H5R29/ via /r/Gifts https://www.reddit.com/r/Gifts/comments/9u9kj6/how_to_lose_weight_fast_3_simple_steps_based_on/?utm_source=ifttt

Hi! I was wondering if you guys can help me come up with some Christmas present ideas for my family. My budget is about £50 per person but I can go a little bit over if I need to.Mum - likes horses and has a horse so I normally get her something horsey. Likes jewellery, especially silver and amethyst so I normally get her a necklace or something as well. She loves the outdoors and wants to start riding her bike again so maybe something to do with that?Stepdad - the most difficult person to buy for 😂 he likes antique furniture and paintings, gardening, sailing, bike riding and he’s got a good sense of style. He also loves the outdoors like my mum.My mum, my stepdad and I are moving house atm so I’m thinking maybe something for the house? I’m not sure what though.Dad - recently retired and loves to travel. He has cats. He’s quite wealthy so if he wants something he will probably buy it for himself, so maybe an experience would be better? I have been searching everywhere for a gift for my boyfriend for Christmas and have come up with nothing. He is super into boardgames but I wouldn't dare try and buy one for him as I don't even know all the ones he owns (it's a lot). He especially loves mysteries and puzzles. His favourites are games like Arkam Horror and Unlock! escape room card games. I was looking into murder mystery subscription boxes but we live in Canada and the shipping from the US is ridiculous. He is also a physicist and works with lasers and optics so I was thinking maybe something science orientated. He also loves lego and building things.
