Looking to get my parent's their mother and fathers day gifts online and I can't pinpoint what I should get them since they're hard to shop for. My mom is a quirky sort of person. She loves retro pop culture items, tea/coffee (my dad bought her a fancy Keurig last year), Scandavian-themed things (her mom is from Norway), things from the 1920s/30s...her interests vary every other day and she goes through phases were she loves one particular thing. For example, last year her and my dad went to Ireland (their first time vacationing outside of the USA-Canada) and she was obsessed with anything Irish or related to Ireland. My sister and I used to Irish dance for a long time, so she always had an interest, last year it was sort of her "theme". She also loves 'interesting' home decor, such as retro or vintage looking items. She also likes seeing tarot card readers and going to tea leaf readings.My dad is someone who likes everything people buy him, but his favorite gift was when my sister and brother-in-law bought him a fancy toothbrush. He tends to like practical things more than fun things. He works all the time and he and my mom are currently flipping houses. When I was little, he used to play basketball and video games (Diablo and Age of Empires) with his friends, but since he is older and works nonstop, he tends to fall asleep whenever he can. He loves rock and metal music. I always usually get him a gift card to Home Depot or Lowes since he will always use it, but I feel like gift cards aren't overly thoughtful of a gift.I also thought about getting a gift in mid-May as a "together gift/parents day combo" since their thirty year anniversary is coming up.
