Some backstory might help. I’m gonna marry this woman. I’m 20 and we’ve only been together for close to a year but I’ve known her my whole life. She’s the most beautiful girl in my eyes and we make an amazing team. A lot of people might say what I said and not go the distance. But I’ll do everything in my power and more to grow old with my gf, she knows I feel this way about her and she has told me she feels the same. I’m very happy with her and gift time is a big deal Bc I suck at gifts. I also had a question that’s been on my mind about a specific gift, promise rings... idk how I feel about them. Part of me laughs at them and the other part sees how it’s a cute gift and shows dedication. I don’t think I’ll be getting her one just thought I’d ask. I would totally get her a necklace with my initial on it but ofc she Alr wears one with her own initial lol. My most recent gift was a going away to college gift, got her a really nice pair of Nike jester Air Force ones and then had someone custom them for the college she goes to. (We are both jrs in college btw if this helps). I came here Bc there hits a point where you’ve gotten them the key gifts and the rest feel like filler. My good friend got his gf of 3 years a projector... I don’t want to be that guy, I like sentimental stuff. Maybe a matching hoodie with her would be cute, I’m not crazy about that stuff but it would be fun on occasion. He likes old dorky satirical comedies (think Airplane, Naked Gun, Hotshots, etc) and some war-themed computer games. He’s very computer- and tech-savvy, and seems to own every gadget known to man. He’s not super sentimental but loves his two grandkids dearly. He’s also fairly well-off (unlike myself) so he is able to buy himself the things that catch his fancy, which makes gift-giving even harder - as does the fact that I don’t share any of his interests, so I don’t know what’s cool and good in those areas.I would love to acquire two gifts in the $50-120 range (each) that can be purchased on Amazon or elsewhere online in time to arrive by next weekend, August 15-16. Brick and mortar suggestions are okay too, although my schedule is tight so shopping in person is tough.
