My mom is becoming increasingly difficult to shop for and I’m finding myself at a loss on what to get her for her birthday/holidays.A little background, she has late stage COPD and only leaves the house (actually her bedroom) for doctors appointments. She doesn’t really have any hobbies and the ones she did have, she can no longer do (eyesight is too poor for reading and her hands shake too much for crochet). She isn’t a “feminine” woman and doesn’t want jewelry, bath/beauty products. Really, she sits in her room and plays computer games on Facebook all day.In the past, I have gifted her a 6 month subscription for audiobooks (she never used it), cozy blankets, pj’s, confections, flowers and “knick knacks”. I’m getting to the point where I’m just giving her “whatever” because I’m just at a loss.She also isn’t the kind of mother that is just satisfied with a card. Her feelings are hurt easily and thinks gifts = appreciation and love. I’ve come to dread the holidays because shopping has just become so stressful.Any help/suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
